July 4th Family Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day with us at WaunaBoom in the Village of Waunakee! This event is free and offers a variety of entertainment, including live music, food carts, free family activities, a Black Hawk fly-in by the 147th Aviation Regiment at 2 pm, an F-35 flyover by the 115th Fighter Wing at 6:15 pm, and an impressive fireworks display.
We appreciate our sponsors and volunteers, who help make WaunaBoom possible. We welcome donations and volunteers to support this fantastic event.
Please note that for everyone's safety, the Waunakee Police Department does not permit fireworks, sparklers, pets, or alcoholic beverages in the park. Only authorized vehicles are allowed in the park on the event day. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled to July 5th from 4:30 - 10:00 pm.
Enjoy free family movies on Bishops Bay Country Club's jumbotron at WaunaBoom theater's double feature. Check back for details.
MOVIES IN THE PARK
3:30 - 9:00 pm
Make sure to stay for the impressive display by our valuable partner, Chrome Fireworks and Displays. The show begins when the western horizon is entirely dark and is accompanied by music. Following the finale, lights will be turned on throughout the park to ensure our guests' safe departure.

Enjoy our open and free cornhole boards in the beer tent. Sponsored by Lexus of Madison. You must be 21 years old to enter the beer tent. Children must be with a guardian.

A Black Hawk helicopter from the 1st Battalion of the 147th Aviation Regiment will land in the park at 2 p.m. You can see the helicopter for free at the baseball field until 4:30 pm. We thank the generous flight and ground crew members for donating their time.

Get ready for the kids' bike parade by decorating your bike, trike, wagon, or wheelchair for free from 2-2:45 pm, followed by the parade from 2:45-3:00 pm.

The Wisconsin Air National Guard's 115th Fighter Wing will fly over during the national anthem around 6:15 pm. The beer tent or surrounding area is the best place to watch the flyover. It is recommended to arrive 5-10 minutes early to secure a good spot. A big shoutout to the flight and ground crews for their service and dedication!
